Building system for modular ”do-it-yourself” houses

This housing-concept consists of a standardised, bolted, modular,   light-weight element steel building-system that can be assembled and erected by means of the “do-it-yourself” principle right to turnkey homes. 

 

The homes can externally be covered with traditional materials on the market such as wood, concrete plates, metal-plating or clay/concrete bricks. and internally walls can be covered with gypsum or other similar plating sheets.

 

The basic structures are assembled with no other tools than a spanner, since all parts are fitted with galvanised bolts and nuts and or rivets.    No single part of the system weights more than approx. 30 kg (65 lbs) and therefore it can be handled by one or two single persons with no other tools for lifting such as cranes

 

The stability in this structure can stand the hardest climatic terms.

The building-system appeals to the many people who for various reasons does not have a decent shelter for various reasons and the houses cannot be erected wrong, crooked or out of level and they can easily be constructed in any size and number of modules.

 

The concept is a thoroughly constructed, logical, well-proportioned

easy comprehensive system of profiles, that due to its free span up to 10 meter in the width can be used for many purposes from smaller homes to larger houses, schools, common buildings etc.

 

The vertical steel-profiles is H-shaped in 200 mm both in depth and in widhs and the insulation being in the same measures, is fixed in the H-profiles and the columns furthermore gives way to hidden pipes and cables for electricity, water and heating, and the H-shaped columns has great vertical loading capacity.

Broad U-shaped horizontal steering rails that are alike in top and bottom controls the stability and direction. When the vertical and the horizontal  parts are bolted together a completely straight  and stable structure is created. Finally the trusses are lifted up on the beams and are fixed to the pre-holed wall-structure and the roofing can be laid..

Finally when purlin and laths are fitted, the walls and ceiling are filled with mineral-insulation-wool. All is ready for cladding in- and outside and when fixing the roof is done the windows and doors fixed.
